The Price Is Right: Drew Carey Celebrates 10 Years as Host With His 10 Favorite Moments

When he retired in 2007 after 35 years as host of CBS's The Price Is Right, Bob Barker handed the reins to comedian Drew Carey, whose first episode aired Oct. 15. Ten years later, Carey is looking back at 10 of his favorite, most outrageous and hilarious moments from his first decade on the iconic game show (the new season premieres Monday, Sept. 18).

When the big doors opened and Carey made his debut entrance, the audience went crazy with applause. "Very emotional, I felt my life changing," he tells EW.

In fact, the crowd was so welcoming and loud that Carey almost couldn't talk over the cheers.

Clock Game's $1 Million Primetime Winner

During a 2008 primetime special, one contestant won $1,000,000 for guessing the (actual retail) price of two items in just eight seconds playing the Clock Game. "It's pretty fun to give away someone else's millions!" Carey says.

Come On Down, Snoop Dogg!

During a 2012 Celebrity Charity Week episode, Snoop Dogg wowed the crowd and cast with his knowledge of The Price Is Right games, winning almost $73,000 for his youth football charity. "Another surreal day for me — he's a huge fan of the show, it turns out," Carey recalls.

Drew Marries Everyone in the Audience

In April 2015, The Price Is Right staged a mass wedding — and Carey officiated, marrying every couple in the audience at once. "I felt unworthy to do such a special thing," he says about the big event, which drew lots of tears, hugs, and, naturally, kisses.

Carey says it was a "freaky day" when he hit the stage for the 2015 Halloween episode and everyone in the cast had dressed up as him. "I had just got back from EDC, a 3-day electronic dance and music festival in Vegas, and was like, whoa! It was bizarre."

Helping kick off Big Money Week in 2015, the Late Late Show host took over for male model James. During One Away, though, he almost showed off something else before realizing his zipper was down. "The cage is open, but the beast is asleep," Corden assured everyone.

"Yeah, well, anybody can say anything, can't they?" Carey says of the hilarious moment.

"I knew immediately that this would be a big viral moment — I was so happy," Carey says of the April 2015 episode where model Manuela accidentally revealed the correct price of a nearly $22,000 car, which the contestant automatically won. "Meanwhile, Manuela thought we were going to fire her, which was the furthest thing from our minds. We all wanted to buy her dinner!"

Contestant Christopher got a little excited when he made it onto the show in 2014, taking Carey for a spin and then dropping him on the stage.

When Carey got back on his feet, Christopher planted a big kiss on his cheek! "We ended up getting married for a short time," Carey jokes. "Sadly, it didn't work out."

It's not a bad day on The Price Is Right when you walk away with a car worth more than $157,000. But this contestant didn't just walk, she ran... laps... around the stage!

"It's really something, to be next to someone having that kind of moment — it's like being in an alternate universe," Carey explains. "I thought she was going to come out of her skin."

For the 2009 Halloween episode, the cast took inspiration for their costumes from the games. Carey was the beloved Yodely guy.
