Greek, then and now

ABC Family's "Greek" - Season Four
Karen Neal/ABC Familly

It's been a while since Rusty Cartwright (Jacob Zachar) first invaded his older sister Casey's (Spencer Grammer) life on the campus of the fictitious Cyprus-Rhodes University and Greek entered our living rooms via ABC Family (which we now know as Freeform) on July 9, 2007. We quickly fell in love with Casey's love triangle featuring Evan (Jake McDorman) and Cappie (Scott Michael Foster) and rooted for the bookish Rusty's social successes over the course of four smart seasons. Since the show's finale on March 7, 2011, the cast has been keeping busy. And, while we won't be getting a reunion movie anytime soon, at least we can see the actors working hard everyplace else.

Spencer Grammer (Casey Cartwright)

The queen of Zeta Beta Zeta has been the voice of Summer Smith on Rick and Morty since 2013. Spencer Grammer (daughter of Kelsey Grammer) was seen as the flight attendant who almost stepped in the middle of Meredith (Ellen Pompeo) and Nathan (Martin Henderson) getting together in the 14th season of Grey's Anatomy. She has also had starring gigs on the short-lived dramas Ironside, Graves, and Tell Me a Story; guest stints on Scorpion, Chicago P.D., and Royal Pains; and voice roles on The Barbarian and the Troll and Solar Opposites.

Scott Michael Foster (Cappie)

Cappie may have been the quintessential slacker, but Scott Michael Foster certainly isn't. Aside from turning up on Crazy Ex-Girlfriend and You, he starred on the short-lived drama Blood & Oil and completed significant stints on Once Upon a Time, Chasing Life, Halt and Catch Fire, Californication, Parenthood, and more.

Jake McDorman (Evan Chambers)

In addition to his film roles in Greta Gerwig's Lady Bird (2017), The Escape of Prisoner 614 (2018), Happiest Season (2020), and Jerry and Marge Go Large (2022), Jake McDorman kept busy with TV performances on Limitless, Murphy Brown, What We Do in the Shadows, The Right Stuff, and in Dopesick and Class of '09. In 2023, the actor nabbed a lead role on Peacock's Mrs. Davis, starring alongside Betty Gilpin.

Jesse Williams (Drew Collins)

Remember the Hotness Monster? Ashleigh and Casey's two-episode crush went on to be quite the surgeon in Seattle! Jesse Williams has starred on Grey's Anatomy as Dr. Jackson Avery since 2009. He's also had roles in Little Fires Everywhere, Secret Headquarters (2022), and Your Place or Mine (2023); played his Grey's character on Station 19; and appears in season 3 of Only Murders in the Building.

Clark Duke (Dale Kettlewell)

Roles in Superbad (2007), Kick-Ass (2010), and Hot Tub Time Machine (2010) saw Clark Duke's star rising even before Greek took its final bow.

Since then, he's been working steadily, including starring turns on Showtime's I'm Dying Up Here and in the 2019 revival season of Veronica Mars. Duke played Thunk in The Croods (2011) and its 2020 sequel, and had other voice roles on the animated series Robot Chicken and Inside Job.

Amber Stevens West (Ashleigh Howard)

That chemistry between Ashleigh and Fisher existed off-screen as well: Amber Stevens West married Andrew J. West in 2014. Her career blossomed as well, including roles in 22 Jump Street (2014), as well as on The Carmichael Show, Ghosted, Happy Together, and Run the World. She also appeared in two episodes of Chasing Life...as Scott Michael Foster's character's best friend.

Dilshad Vadsaria (Rebecca Logan)

The erstwhile Rebecca Logan used some of her charm and cunning for a recurring arc on Revenge in 2012 and 2013, followed by key roles on the short-lived series Second Chance, Notorious, and Cloak & Dagger.

Paul James (Calvin Owens)

Calvin Owens was always a man who was destined to succeed, and Paul James has done exactly that. He's had significant roles on The Last Ship, The Path, Soundtrack, and I Love That For You. The actor also appears in the Apple TV+ miniseries adaptation of the best-selling book Lessons in Chemistry, which premieres in Fall 2023.

Jacob Zachar (Rusty Cartwright)

Jacob Zachar certainly still spends Q.T. with his former Greek castmates, as evidenced by the shot of him with Clark Duke together at E3 in June 2017 (above right).

Since the Greek finale, the actor has popped up in episodes of House, CSI: Crime Scene Investigation, Project: SERA, Dark/Web, and NCIS, in addition to several short films and indie features.

Aaron Hill (Walter "Beaver")

The man behind the Beaver — the dense athlete and Kappa Tau mainstay — Aaron Hill has graduated onto an impressive list of credits, including Glee, Twisted, The Middle, and Baskets.
