Jennifer Hudson crashes superfan's wedding for season 2 premiere of talk show

The EGOT winner performs "Giving Myself" for the stunned newlyweds.

New season, new surprises on The Jennifer Hudson Show!

The talk show host crashed a superfan couple's wedding in Los Angeles and performed a soulful rendition of her song "Giving Myself" for the newlyweds.

Hudson documented the surprise on the season 2 premiere of her eponymous Fox daytime talk show on Monday. "They have no idea that I am here," Hudson told viewers of newlyweds Traci and Pat Jean-Baptiste. "I got this huge performance plan for them. The mama don't even know, the family don't know, don't nobody know nothing!"

The EGOT winner made her way to the stage while Traci and Pat were on the venue's rooftop taking photos. The two then enter an empty banquet room before gliding down a dreamy hallway flanked by florals and purple lighting. When the white curtain that Hudson is hiding behind drops, the room erupts in cheers.

Hudson's show was initially set to return last month, but was postponed amid backlash due to the writers' strike, which officially ended last week. After 148 days, the Writers Guild of America reached a tentative agreement for a new three-year contract with the Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers, putting an end to the second-longest strike in the union's history. (The 1988 strike lasted 153 days.) Late night talk shows have also charted a return for Monday night. The SAG-AFTRA strike featuring actors and other media professionals, which began two months after the WGA strike in July, continues until the union is offered a fair deal by the AMPTP.

Guests on Hudson's show this week include The Voice coaches Gwen Stefani and Niall Horan, actor Taye Diggs, comedian Cedric the Entertainer, and NBA legend Shaquille O'Neal.
