Toddlers & Tiaras star Kailia Posey's cause of death revealed

In the wake of former Toddlers & Tiaras star Kailia Posey's unexpected death earlier this week, her family has shared a statement revealing the 16-year-old died by suicide.

"Although she was an accomplished teenager with a bright future ahead of her, unfortunately in one impetuous moment, she made the rash decision to end her earthly life," reads the family statement.

"It is our desire that her departure from this Earth will not be in vain and that other lives can be saved. A fund has been set up at the Whatcom Community Foundation in her name."

Posey appeared on the TLC reality show Toddlers & Tiaras, which followed families as they prepared their children to compete in beauty pageants, multiple times from 2011-2012. In one episode, she gave an unforgettable smile that has lived on the internet ever since as an iconic GIF.
