The View censors Sara Haines' profanity amid impassioned criticism of potential government shutdown

Haines appeared to tell the government to "make some s--- happen" live on air.

The View cohost Sara Haines has had it with government shenanigans, days after Congress passed a short-term stopgap measure to avoid a total shutdown.

During an impassioned Hot Topics discussion Monday about the precarious situation, Haines took aim at Republican politicians standing in the way of progress.

"I'm disgusted at how this is all going," Haines said. "There's no business in this world that not only doesn't operate on a 45-day cycle, where you can't work within a budget. You would be fired." She continued, "The entire D.C. right now not only gets paid, they continue to fail upwards and get re-elected when they can not work with the money they've been given. I don't know a job where you can just, one, print your own money, and two, make the Americans pay for it with interest rates."

The 46-year-old went on to shame the GOP for putting "lowest-income people among us" at risk over the potential shutdown, noting that they would "literally not eat" while Republicans have "these privileged conversations about a new speaker."

Haines then urged them to "do your jobs" before the show's audio cut out as she uttered profanity at the end of her speech. EW could not officially confirm what Haines said, though she appeared to say "make some s--- happen."

Monday's slip was not the first time Haines has been censored on The View. In May, the show also cut audio while Haines uttered profanity while discussing the new dating series Golden Bachelor.

"We'll be right back," moderator Whoopi Goldberg said after the utterance, throwing the show to commercial as Haines said, "Sorry!"

The View airs weekdays at 11 a.m. ET/PT on ABC.
