Selena Gomez to host Saturday Night Live with musical guest Post Malone

The Only Murders in the Building star will make her SNL hosting debut.

Selena Gomez is going from the Arconia to 30 Rock.

NBC announced Friday that the singer and Only Murders in the Building star will host the May 14 episode of Saturday Night Live, joined by musical guest Post Malone. Gomez has performed on the show before, but this episode — the penultimate show of season 47 — will mark her first time hosting.

Of course, the news that Gomez is hosting raises the question of whether her Only Murders in the Building costars might pop by for a cameo: Martin Short is a former SNL cast member, and Steve Martin is a longtime friend of the show, hosting a whopping 15 times since 1976. All three actors are set to return for the second season of Hulu's breakout hit, which will premiere June 28 with new cast members Amy Schumer and Carla Delevingne.

As for Post Malone, May 14 will be the Grammy-nominated rapper's SNL debut.

Up next, Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness star Benedict Cumberbatch will emcee the May 7 episode, with musical guest Arcade Fire. The Marvel star previously hosted in 2016.

No host or musical guest has been announced yet for the May 21 season finale. SNL airs Saturdays at 11:30 p.m. ET/8:30 p.m. PT on NBC.
