Tracy Morgan's The Last O.G. canceled at TBS after four seasons

Sorry, Brooklynites, but Tray Barker won't be back.

The Last O.G. has gone extinct.

TBS' comedy starring Tracy Morgan as an ex-con who returns home to a changed Brooklyn after 15 years behind bars will not be back for a fifth season, EW has confirmed.

While the series debuted to favorable numbers in 2018, ratings eventually faltered, including a decline at the start of season 4. The decision cancel The Last O.G. was made back when season 4 concluded in December.

In addition to Morgan, who played lead character Tray Barker, the show featured Tiffany Haddish as his former girlfriend Shay, who had moved on with her life in Tray's absence, marrying a successful white man (Ryan Gaul) and raising two children Tray never knew existed. Jordan Peele and John Carcieri created the series, which also starred Dante Hoagland, Taylor Mosby, Allen Maldonado, and Cedric the Entertainer.

Although news of The Last O.G. getting the ax comes amid reports that Warner Bros. Discovery, the new parent company of TBS and TNT, will no longer develop new scripted content, the cancellation decision predated the recent merger of WarnerMedia and Discovery. It remains to be seen what will happen with other existing TBS and TNT scripted programs.
