Watch Ludacris, Lil Jon, and Taraji P. Henson search Vegas for a missing Usher in Hangover-esque short film

They call him U-S-H-E-R and he's M-I-S-S-I-N-G.

Just gonna say it: Tim Cook, not a star.

But luckily Apple recruited a bevy of 'em for their short film Where's Usher?, ahead of the pop icon's Apple Music Super Bowl Halftime Show.

After a wild night out in Vegas, home of Super Bowl LVIII, Ludacris, Lil Jon, and Taraji P. Henson have gone and lost Usher, as they tell the Apple CEO via FaceTime. With the biggest performance of the year hanging in the balance, the trepidatious trio go in search of His Royal Yeah!-ness.

Along the way, they run into DJ Pee Wee (a.k.a. Anderson .Paak) and his bundles, the Blue Man Group, bounty hunter Leslie Snipes (the cousin of Wesley Snipes...played by Wesley Snipes), J. Balvin, the voice of André 3000, and a woman named Blanche who is nothing short of a national treasure.

Scored by 14 of Usher's hits, the short is all part of the lead-up to the halftime show on Sunday, where the "U Don't Have to Call" singer will burn through many of those hits during his 15-minute set.

In an interview with EW, Usher explained that he sees this performance as the 101st show of his recent Vegas residency, and thus, as a celebration.

"I get to finally celebrate in the belief that I could come to Las Vegas and do something that was magical," he said, adding that he hopes "people would feel excited — whether they knew my music or they just got to meet me for the first time — and that I'm all passion, man."

Super Bowl LVIII — with the San Francisco 49ers facing off against the Kansas City Chiefs — gets underway Sunday at 6:30 p.m. ET on CBS and streaming on Paramount+.
