Get On The List

New allegations emerge regarding Mia Goth’s behaviour towards extra

In a new report, James Hunter, the actor suing Mia Goth for battery as well as director Ti West and A24 for wrongful termination, has provided further details regarding his lawsuit. In the document, Hunter claims that Goth intentionally kicked him in the head while he was performing as a background actor on the set of the latest horror film, MaXXXine.

Hunter was hired to play the role of ‘Dead Parishioner’ in the movie. He claims to have been instructed to lie on the ground covered in fake blood; however, during one take, Goth allegedly stepped on him. Before this incident reportedly occurred, Hunter claims to have told the assistant director that he was worried about Goth making actual contact with him, something which was apparently relayed to the actor. In the next tape, Hunter alleges that Goth intentionally kicked him in the head.

In a new interview with Dread Central, Hunter has delved into more detail about his encounter with Goth. The background actor alleges that she followed him to a portable toilet in a remote restroom area and pushed open the door to the stall that he was using.

Hunter claims that his initial reaction was to apologise to Goth for not locking the door; however, the star allegedly interrupted him, saying, “Nobody will believe you because you’re nothing. Get the fuck off my set, you big baby.” He said he wrote these words down immediately to avoid forgetting them.

Goth and A24 have denied all of Hunter’s allegations in court filings. They said in a statement that Hunter’s claims “are simply not true.” They continued, “As this is in active litigation, we cannot say more at this time but continue to vigorously defend Mia and the entire filmmaking team against these extremely baseless allegations.”

Other than her representatives denying the allegations, Goth is yet to directly comment on the claims.

MaXXXine opened in cinemas on July 5th. In a three-star review of the new movie, Far Out wrote: “The camera stayed still on a fake bloodied cast of Maxine’s head, clearly as a loose nod to the remarkable shot of Pearl that caps off the previous movie. However, as a lesser take void of the emotion or nuance that carries its predecessors, that alone is a perfect example of why MaXXXine shot itself in the foot.”

This is a developing story.
