One VC shares how he uses AI to find the next big innovator

Every sector is being impacted by the rise of artificial intelligence. Venture capitalist John Flavin, Co-Founder and CEO of Portal Innovations, says he is using it to find the next biotech company to invest in. Flavin tells Asking for a Trend that his firm has developed an "AI-enabled platform that can predict innovation and start to rank innovative inventors coming out of universities." He points out that most new drugs start "on the bench at a university several years prior to it becoming a drug." Flavin wants to find those ideas and scientists early so he can be an early investor in their ventures.
