Tucked into the northwest corner of Yosemite National Park is one of the most visually stunning, but least visited lakes compared to the highly popular Yosemite Valley. It is a man-made lake that is also steeped in controversy. The Hetch Hetchy Reservoir sits in a valley strikingly similar to the one surrounded by Half Dome, El Capitan and other Yosemite gems. But, it is the O'Shaughnessy Dam at the far western edge of this lake that sets this valley apart from its more popular neighbor.
