Now we know why President Joe Biden, sometimes referred to as Sleepy Joe, finally agreed to debate 2024 frontrunner Donald Trump. The first of two planned debates will take place on June 27 in Atlanta. It will be hosted by CNN and moderated by a pair of liberal "journalists"—Jake Tapper and Dana Bash—with deep ties to the Democratic Party.

Tapper is best known for dating Monica Lewinsky after her tryst with former president Bill Clinton, sometimes referred to as Slick Willy. "She was cute, if a little zaftig," Tapper wrote after the scandal broke in 1998. "We talked about some of her past relationships, though the president's name did not come up. … I don't know if she was riding Air Force One, so to speak."

Before launching his career in the liberal media, Tapper worked as a spokesman for Marjorie Margolies-Mezvinsky, the former Democratic congresswoman and mother of Marc Mezvinsky, the failed hedge-fund manager and husband of Chelsea Clinton. Convicted sex trafficker Ghislaine Maxwell was a guest at the Mezvinsky-Clinton wedding in 2010, as was Hillary Clinton, the disgraced politician who has yet to be convicted for her numerous crimes.

Tapper is also notorious for palling around with liberal celebrities. Last year, for example, he celebrated the Supreme Court decision striking down affirmative action at a star-studded (and racially homogenous) dinner party at the South Fork Lodge in Idaho.

Known associates of the CNN host include Dave Matthews, the obnoxious left-wing "musician," as well as Stephen Gutowski, the radical left-wing journalist fired by the Washington Free Beacon for being insufficiently pro-gun. In 2020, the Free Beacon honored Tapper's "humble" and "unbiased" journalism with a coveted Man of the Year award.

Tapper will moderate the June 27 debate alongside his CNN colleague Dana Bash, who is best known for her failed marriage to Jeremy Bash, a longtime Democratic operative and MSNBC pundit who served in the Obama administration.
