OKLAHOMA CITY — In a late-morning ceremony marking, appropriately, the dead center of the festival’s schedule, the 2024 deadCenter Film Festival crowned its award winners inside OKCMOA’s Sam Noble Theater on Saturday.
The announcement of the winners at the weekend-long festival’s midpoint provides moviegoers with the opportunity to catch the buzz of the winning films at repeat screenings throughout the remaining days.
The ceremony kicked off with deadCenter Executive Director Cacky Poarch imploring filmmakers across the nation and the world to “come to Oklahoma, stay in Oklahoma, and film in Oklahoma.”
