Canadiens RW gets hit in the throat by a shot, returns to the game minutes later

Montreal Canadiens right wing Brendan Gallagher proved Wednesday that he’s one of the toughest players in the game. In Game 1 of the Habs’ series with the Tampa Bay Lightning, Gallagher was hit in the throat by a shot from his own teammate Alexei Emelin.

Gallagher left the game and went back to the locker room, but just a few minutes later he returned to the bench ready to play. It’s playoff time, folks.

The Canadiens beat the Lighting in OT, 5-4.
