Brooklyn Nets center Jason Collins and the NBA have teamed up again for a greater cause.

Three of Collins autographed No. 98 jerseys – including two game-worn jerseys – will be auctioned and the all proceeds will be donated to the Gay, Lesbian & Straight Education Network and the Matthew Shepard Foundation, the NBA announced Friday.

Fans can bid on the jersyes at auctions.nba.com which starts Friday and ends April 22.

Collins became the NBA’s first active gay player when he joined the Nets in February and since he signed his deal with Brooklyn all proceeds from the sale of his jerseys have benefitted those organizations.

Collins wears No. 98 because that’s the year Matthew Shepard, a 21-year-old gay man, was tortured and killed in Wyoming. Earlier this season, Collins gave the Shepard family one of his jerseys.

Since signing with the Nets, Collins’ jersey spent three weeks as the top-selling NBA jersey, according to the league.
