LeBron had the same reaction as you did to Corey Brewer's 51-point game

Minnesota Timberwolves forward Corey Brewer scored 51 points Wednesday in a 112-110 victory against the Houston Rockets.

This is surprising news because:

  • Corey Brewer averages 11.7 points a game.
  • Corey Brewer’s previous career high was 29.
  • Corey Brewer averages less than 10 points a game for his career.
  • Corey Brewer just tied the T’wolves’ franchise record for points in a game, held by teammate Kevin Love.

How do you react to this sort of outburst? Miami Heat star LeBron James, who dropped 61 points earlier this season, nailed it.

Brewer also added six steals, which makes the game all the weirder, though Love being out helped him.

Amazingly, Brewer probably isn’t the least likely 51-point scorer of 2014, as Toronto Raptors rookie Terrence Ross reached the plateau in January.

Still wondering how Brewer did it? Half-court buzzer beaters help.
