Tempers flared in Pittsburgh Sunday following a triple from Brewers center fielder Carlos Gomez.

Gomez and Pirates pitcher Gerrit Cole exchanged words after Gomez slid into third base, and the misunderstanding soon escalated into a massive brawl.

Gomez, Pirates outfielder Travis Snider and Brewers bench coach Jerry Narron were all ejected.

Gomez has a bit of a history of hot-dogging it on long hits. Last season, the Brewers and Braves brawled after Gomez hit a home run and showed up pitcher Paul Maholm.

When Gomez made it back to home plate, Braves catcher Brian McCann was there to greet him, and the benches cleared. Gomez later said he was “sorry” for showing up Maholm.
