On Monday morning, Spurs guard Manu Ginobli proudly announced on Twitter that his wife gave birth to the couple’s third son, Luca. Because it’s the NBA playoffs, Luca’s early birth came with another blessing: It made it easy for Ginobli to even make it to practice. So of course he got a pat on the back and a congratulatory hug from coach Gregg Popovich, who was so impressed that he made it to practice on the day of the birth of his son, right?

Yeah of course not.

According to Jeff McDonald of the San Antonio Express-News, this is what Popovich had to say:

Ginobili’s teammates, of course, were a bit more supportive. “I was very happy for (Ginobili),” Tony Parker told McDonald. “Early in the morning I got the great news and I can’t wait to do the same thing.”
