Dwayne Harris' ridiculous cheap shot was the biggest hit the Cowboys made all day

Cowboys kick returner Dwayne Harris should get a nice letter from the league offices at some point in the next week.

With the Eagles leading 33-10 late in the fourth quarter of what ended up being a Thanksgiving blowout, the special teams player drilled Eagles cover guy Nolan Carroll for no reason on a punt that wasn’t going to be fielded anyway.

Understandably, tempers flared after the play, as scrums broke out in the end zone. Harris was surprisingly not ejected from the game, but did get a ten yard penalty for unnecessary roughness.

The hit didn’t do anything except exorcise some frustrations that had to be brewing from having a division rival come into your stadium and punk you in front of a national television audience. The dirty shot was the most punishing hit any of the Cowboys players managed to put on the Eagles all game, hence the lopsided result. If anything, it seemed like Philly should have won by five touchdowns.

Not that either team will need any extra motivation, but you can bet that neither the Cowboys or Eagles will forget that play when they see each other in Philly in two weeks.
