Los Angeles Galaxy smacked Real Salt Lake in the second-leg of their MLS playoff matchup on Sunday, winning 5-0 after a 0-0 draw in the first game.
The emphatic win was made even better for Galaxy fans when Landon Donovan scored three of the goals, notching yet another MLS hat trick and making everyone wonder why on earth a guy this good is walking away from the game.
The third goal, shown in the video above, was the real moment though. The speed with which Donovan accelerates past the defense, coupled with the silky one-touch finish, is equally breathtaking and frustrating for a fan.
It’s breathtaking because what a freaking goal, and frustrating because c’mon Landon, you can still clearly do this really, really well.
