Natalie Heimel and Edward Mallue Jr., both Army captains, were forced to move their wedding, which was scheduled to be held on the 16th tee box at the Kaneohe Klipper Golf Course in Hawaii, when President Obama was scheduled to play there that day. They found out they would have to relocate the day before the ceremony.

The White House said it wasn’t aware that there was a wedding scheduled that day.

When Obama heard about what happened, he called the couple to apologize, said the bride’s sister to Bloomberg News.

The couple was luckily able to find a replacement venue and the wedding went ahead perfectly.
