A last-minute effort from Florida fan favorite Jacob Kurtz turned into an early season nightmare for the Gators.
Kurtz has one of those stories that movies — or at least inspirational books — are made of: He began on the team as a student manager in his freshman year before being promoted to a walk-on player in 2011.
And while this might have the final nail in Florida’s loss to their rivals, a thing we’d like to ask all Florida fans and people on Twitter: Just send positive thoughts. It’s just a game, and he was just trying to help his team win.
