Hours before the Heisman Trophy ceremony in New York, Marcus Mariota, who stands a very good chance of being a runaway winner, was shown a video of young fans from the Boys and Girls Club of Emerald Valley showing their support.

He was left “speechless” by the video. Mariota makes regular visits to the club, and remembers almost each and every boy and girl.

At this point, it’s kind of a question of whether the Heisman deserves Mariota.

UPDATE: Marcus Mariota won the 2014 Heisman Trophy by the second most sizable margin in history (the most sizable margin was Troy Smith in 2006).
