Following a game in which he reportedly he asked to sit out of, Miami Dolphins wide receiver Mike Wallace gave reporters one of the strangest interviews in recent memory.

Wallace chose to stand silently as fellow receiver Brandon Gibson answered questions for him. Yes, Wallace didn’t speak a word.

According to a report from NFL Network’s Jeff Darlington, Wallace asked out of the Dolphins’ loss to the Jets on Sunday when another teammate scored a touchdown.

It was initially reported that Wallace was benched in the second half. Dolphins head coach Joe Philbin said after the game that it was a coach’s decision, but according to Darlington’s sources Wallace asked out of the game.

Wallace hasn’t been a perfect fit since joining the Dolphins, but as Ryan Tannehill has progressed into a solid NFL quarterback, you think he’d be excited about his future as the number-one receiver there. That doesn’t seem to be the case, and it will be interesting to see what happens moving forward.
