The 8 most ridiculous hats Carmelo Anthony has ever worn

Carmelo Anthony is good. So good that there’s a sneaking suspicion that the New York Knicks’ triangle offense just means throw the ball to Anthony and watch what he does with it.

He can post up, he can create his own shot, he can play around the basket, he has a mid-range jumper, and he can knock down a three. His basketball game is solid. His hat game, however, is dubious at best.

All of the hats he wears are so hilariously bad that it can be difficult to decide which one is the worst. I did some research and crunched the numbers and ranked all of these off-the-court looks from most acceptable to most ridiculous. I also tried to make sense of where he might have drawn his inspiration from.

Here goes.

8. The “Joseph A. Bank”

Simple. Perfectly acceptable. Probably bought two and got the third for free.

7. The “Lou Bega”

One, two…three, fo’, five, everybody cleared the paint so come on, let’s drive…

6. The “Kojak”

Ving Rhames is somewhere either proud or jealous. Or Both.

5. The “Tipping Point”

The Tipping Point is probably The Roots’ worst album, so I can’t really imagine why Anthony chose to draw inspiration from there.

The Web” was a pretty good song, I guess.

3. The “Carmen Sandiego”

Where in the world did he get this hat from?

2. The “Raiden”

This is pretty bad, but all things considered, Raiden from Mortal Kombat isn’t the worst place to draw inspiration from. Who wouldn’t want to dress up like Raiden? He was an elder god that could control lightning.

1. The “Snow Miser”

This is, by far, the most ridiculous hat he’s ever worn. Anthony had to have drawn inspiration from the Year Without Santa Claus, no matter how ridiculous the thought is that he had to have been watching a stop-motion animation Christmas special and thought ‘that’s a fire look. I’ve gotta get a hat just like that one.’
