Sweden and Paris Saint Germain striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic has found himself in hot water with Swedish animal rights groups after a hunting trip he took on his mid-season break, during which he killed a moose.

Swedish newspaper Expressen was so taken with Ibrahimovic’s kill that they ran a full front-page story about how he’d slain the 1,100 pound moose “with one shot straight through its heart.”

However, Camilla Björkbom of Sweden’s Animal Rights’ Union was not singing Ibrahimovic’s praises.

From The Guardian:

“It is problematic,” she told Expressen. “It is always problematic when famous people do things like that, because then it looks like they support this type of activities.”

It’s hard to be sure of what she expected from the 33-year-old, considering he admitted to enjoying hunting for sport, hunting is legal in Sweden, and finally, that he was in a really intense Volvo commercial not so long ago, in which he was hunting moose.
