The Atlanta Hawks had crazy neon bright playoff shirts for fans who went to Game 1 of Hawks-Celtics on Saturday. They scream team pride.
Some of the players embraced it by *highlighting* the color on their shoes.
The reaction hasn’t been all good
Chunks of fans opted not to wear the shirt that was draped on their seat, as you can see on the broadcast.
Imagine if EVERYONE was wearing theirs.
But for real, if every single fan behind the Celtics’ hoop wears their shirt and jumps around when they take shots, it could actually be super distracting.
The reaction hasn’t been all bad, though.
The blinding shirts in the stands may or may not have something to do with the Hawks’ commanding 51-34 halftime lead.
Update: The Hawks held on tight for a 102-101 victory.
