Someone is selling a bag of air that is supposedly from Kobe Bryant's last game

The Lakers gave away a lot of cool swag to fans who attended Kobe Bryant’s final career game in L.A. on Wednesday, and obviously all of it was bound to make it to eBay (ex. this and this). But one person got more creative and is selling something that is always free.

He/she is selling the “AIR from Staples Center. Darren Rovell brought it to everyone’s attention.

It’s on eBay’s site, and I think it’s probably fake, as in not really air from Staples Center. However, the site indicates that 44 people have bid on it (note: these numbers keep jumping very fast — up to $13,000-plus — so click the link to see the accurate price) and that the price has risen to $64 as of Saturday night. This has to be some sort of hoax, right?

The one good part of all of this (I guess???) is that the page says 25 percent of the profits from this bag of air will be donated to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

You can also buy a copy of someone’s e-ticket for $4.99. Never underestimate eBay.

Update: As you can see if you click on the link, the bag of air has been removed from eBay. Probably because it’s fake and the person felt bad, or because eBay found out and shut it down … or something along those lines. It was fun while it lasted.
