Bill Simmons calls out ESPN for taking it easy on Roger Goodell

Bill Simmons had no problem criticizing ESPN when he worked there, so he certainly wasn’t going to stop now — especially when Roger Goodell was involved.

ESPN’s Chris Berman sat down with Goodell before Thursday’s NFL draft, and he went too easy on the commissioner for Simmons’ taste.

Berman asked Goodell briefly about “Deflategate” and moved on to the Chargers’ stadium situation, relocation, the NFL in London and an expanded postseason.

Simmons called out his former colleague as the interview unfolded.

Simmons left ESPN in 2015 after 14 years with the network.
