Pavel Datsyuk got his tooth knocked out so Henrik Zetterberg picked it up for him

The Detroit Red Wings’ Pavel Datsyuk and Henrik Zetterberg have been teammates for a long time. That tends to lead to level of familiarity most people don’t have with their coworkers.

So when Datsyuk got his tooth knocked out after taking a high stick to the mouth during Game 2 against the Tampa Bay Lightning, Zetterberg was the one who went looking for it on the ice and then calmly handed it over to the ref.

Hockey players lose teeth all the time, but still, what a buddy.

The Red Wings dropped the second game of the series 5-2. Game 3 will be April, 17.
