Watch a Pirates outfielder rob a home run on a ball he nearly overran

Here’s a pretty sweet catch courtesy of Pittsburgh Pirates outfielder Starling Marte, but it’s also pretty quirky: After Brewers slugger Chris Carter knocked a shot that looked as if it was headed over the wall, Marte climbed up and turned around to rob him.

But look at what he had to do. Instead of reaching up to take a home run away from Carter, he had to reach to the side in the opposite direction of his leap.

In other words, he made a pretty tough catch that much tougher.
