Washington Capitals' Jay Beagle tries to play with a stick stuck to his face

The Washington Capitals round two Stanley Cup playoff matchup against the Pittsburgh Penguins had plenty of hard hits and some shoving matches but there was a moment of pure hilarity when forward Jay Beagle got Kris Letang’s stick stuck through his visor during the final two minutes of the second period.

Beagle gets mixed up with Letang along the boards and during that scramble, Letang’s stick somehow found a new home. Begale wouldn’t quit thought, and tried to play with the stick hanging ridiculously off his face.

Even he gives up after a few seconds and realizes just how dumb he looks, but not before taking the time to laugh at himself.

There must be some weird mojo happening with sticks and Beagle. The Capitals got a power play opportunity after the Penguins’ Phil Kessel’s stick got caught in Beagle’s skate, tripping him.

The Penguins and the Capitals remain tied 3-3 in the third period of Game 1.
