Yasiel Puig missed a foul ball and nearly hurt himself kicking a wall

Dodgers outfielder Yasiel Puig wears his emotions on his sleeve, and that nearly cost the Dodgers in a huge way on Thursday night.

During the the fourth inning of the Dodgers’ game against the Marlins, Puig chased a foul ball down the right-field line. The ball skipped off his glove, and Puig lost his cool. He threw a tantrum and kicked the wall hard.

This could’ve ended terribly for Puig. Notice how he reached for his knee right after making contact with the wall.

There is concrete under that padding.

Despite his struggles at the plate this month, Puig is too important of a player to let his emotions get the best of him over a foul ball. There was nobody on base, and it’s April. He should’ve made the catch, but he can’t be going around kicking walls.

He’s always been an emotional player. Still, there has to be a line for that energy.
