It's pretty garbage for a regular piece of software. You can't even make new files from your phone. So you can't organize your documents or copy paste emails that you need to organize into specific subjects or folders so everything becomes kind of a mess. I mean it works normally I suppose for regular things. The safe folder is kind of cool but the AI response to this review, it's overall disappointing

Just found a second Clean embedded in Files by Google. I have been using it through today. It is so freaking good. That extension I bumped into when checking for options to change the warning "Storage space is getting low" from 3gb to 2gb. I saw the extension Clean and figured what not test it. Clean is a lot better than the file manager that we see on the right side of the first screen when Files comes up. Look for notifications in the settings and you will find it.

Update: the app was updated, which is when the problem started. Clearing the storage as described worked. Heads up to anyone needing to do the same at any point. I didn't have anything in my safe folder, which is good because I couldn't have seen what they were & move them in the app. I didn't have any issues until I finally decided to update the app after putting it off. Now if I click on any of the folders the content won't load, so I can't access anything on my phone through this app.

Regret the inconvenience. Please update your app and try again. If you still experience issues, clearing the app storage may help: Open Settings > Apps > Files by Google > Storage & cache > Clear Storage. Important: Clearing app storage deletes files in the Safe Folder. Move your files out of the Safe Folder before clearing storage. Thanks!
What's new
When you scan a document, itâs saved in your deviceâs Scanned folder.
âDocuments & otherâ category is now called âDocumentsâ to make it easier to find PDF files. Other files, like backup and database files, can be found in âDownloadsâ or âInternal storageâ.
Over the next few weeks, weâll roll out search improvements like recently opened files, quick results, and dropdown filters to make finding files even easier.
