In https://leancrew.com/all-this/2024/05/more-than-100-pregnant/, the author uses aliases instead of the canonical names for mathematical symbols, namely ≈ instead of & asymp; and → instead of →

These aliases are defined by w3c on https://www.w3.org/Math/characters/html/symbol.html

Note:

  1. I’m getting the feed through iCloud
  2. the aliases render fine with Safari
  3. NetNewsWire Version 6.1.4 (6120) on MacOS 14.4.1

the rss feed itself was incorrectly escaped, which I figured out later.
