The 7 places and meanings of Jesus Blood that was shed

1. Jesus sweat blood in the garden of Gethsame – Luke 22:43-46 Jesus Won Back Our Willpower Leviticus 16:14,29 – Before the mercy seat he shall sprinkle some of the blood with his finger seven times……. Luke 22:43-46 – Then an angel appeared to Him from heaven, strengthening Him. And being in agony, He prayed more earnestly. Then His sweat became like GREAT DROPS OF BLOOD falling down to the ground. When He rose up from prayer and had come to His disciples,

He found them sleeping from sorrow. Then He said to them, “Why do you sleep? Rise and pray, lest you enter into temptation”.

Medical doctors confirm that at times of intense fear of agony, a person’s blood vessels can literally break beneath the skin, and blood will begin to come out of their pores like sweat.

The will power we lost in the Garden of Eden was won back in the Garden of Gethsemane when Jesus said, “Not My will, but Thy will be done.” (Matthew 26:39) When you CHOOSE to break the curses on your life, the power of the blood of Jesus will strengthen you, and you will no longer be bound.

You will be set free to do God’s good work.

Jesus shed his Blood when He was lashed. Mat 27.26 also John 19.1 The Stripes on Jesus’ Back Won Back Our Health. Leviticus 16:14,19 – “Before the mercy seat he shall sprinkle some of the blood with his finger seven times….. Then he shall sprinkle some of the blood on it with his finger seven times, cleanse it, and consecrate it.

” The second place, Jesus shed His blood was at the whipping post. It is believed that Jesus was scourged, or flogged thirty-nine times. (Matthew 27:26) Isaiah 53:5 – But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; the chastisement for our peace was upon Him, and by His stripes, we are healed.

In First Peter 2:24, the apostle Peter quoted Isaiah 53:5. He told his readers, “…By whose stripes ye were healed.” The word “stripes” used in this verse is “molopsi”, which describes a full-body bruise.

It refers to a terrible lashing that draws blood and that produces discoloration and swelling of the entire body.

After graphically reminding us of the breathing, bleeding, and bruising that Jesus endured, Peter declared that it was by these same stripes that we are “healed.” The word “healed” is the Greek word “iaomai”–a word that clearly refers to physical healing, as it is a word borrowed from the medical term to describe the physical healing or curing of the human body.

For those who think this promise refers to spiritual healing only, the Greek word emphatically speaks of the healing of a physical condition. This is a real promise of bodily healing that belongs to all who have been washed in the blood of Jesus Christ.

Jesus’ broken body was the payment God demanded to guarantee our physical healing!

Just as Jesus willfully took our sins and died on the Cross in our place, He also wilfully took our sicknesses and pains on Himself when they tied Him to the scourging post and laid those lashes across His body.

That horrific scourging paid for our healing! James 1:6,7 – “Let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed.

For let, not that man think that he shall receive anything of the Lord. To come boldly and confidently to God for healing is the opposite of saying, “If it be Thy will.” If we question God’s will for us when we ask Him for something, we are double-minded, cannot ask in faith, and He cannot heal us.

My Confession I BOLDLY CONFESS THAT I AM HEALED BY THE STRIPES OF JESUS CHRIST. THE AGONY HE ENDURED WAS FOR ME AND MY HEALTH. Genesis 3:17-19 – “Because you have heeded the voice of your wife, and have eaten from the tree of which I commanded you, saying ‘You shall not eat of it’: Cursed is the ground for your sake; In toil, you shall eat of it all the days of your life. Both THORNS and thistles it shall bring forth for you, and you shall eat the herb of the field.

In the sweat of your face, you shall eat bread till you return to the ground.” Thousands of years after Adam sinned, Jesus Christ, the second Adam, was taken before the religious and political authorities to stand trial as a fraud and a heretic. On the way to Pilate, as they were mocking Jesus,

“All hail, King of the Jews,” they saw a THORN bush –the symbol of the curse of poverty on the land. They took some of the THORN branches, wove them into a crown, and placed them on the brow of Jesus until the blood flowed from His head.

The symbol of poverty was placed on the brow of Jesus, the second Adam. When those THORNS pierced His brow, He shed His blood for our redemption from poverty.

We were cursed with poverty by the sweat of Adam’s brow, but we were redeemed from the curse of poverty by the blood on Jesus’ brow.

Now, by the power of the blood of Jesus, not only is the curse of poverty broken, but those who take the name of Jesus and claim His blood are anointed to prosper.

2 Corinthians 8:9 – “For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though He was rich, yet for your sakes He became poor, that you through His poverty might become rich.” Jesus never was poor. When the Bible says, Jesus became poor, it means He was poor in comparison to what He had in His heavenly home.

Before Mary and Joseph went to the barn, they first went to the inn to get a room. Mary and Joseph had plenty of money to get a room at the inn. The problem was, the inn had no room for the savior. Yes, Jesus was born in a manger, but not to teach us poverty. He was showing us that we were not making room for the Savior to be born in our lives.

The fourth place Jesus’ blood was shed was from His hands, where the soldiers pounded spikes to nail Him to the cross.

Genesis 1:26 – Then God said, “Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; let them have dominion of the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.” God place all authority in the hands of Adam and Eve, but when Adam disobeyed God, that authority was taken from us and Satan became the god of this world. When Jesus bled from His hands, dominion was returned to God’s children.

That means that whatever evil we encounter, we have the authority in Jesus’ name to render it harmless. Mark 16:18 –

“They will take up serpents; and if they drink anything deadly, it will by no means hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover.” Our authority has been redeemed. OUR DOMINION has been redeemed. We need to take our hands, lay them on everything, and claim the blessings of God with authority, by the blood and in the name of Jesus. Job 1:10 –

“Have You not made a hedge around him, around his household, and around all that he has on every side? You have blessed the work of his hands, and his possessions have increased in the land.” As God built a hedge around Job, which limited Satan, so today He will do the same for any child of God who applies the blood to a given situation.

The blood is the hedge that stops the Destroyer. Revelation 12:11 – And they overcame him by the BLOOD of the Lamb and by the WORD OF THEIR TESTIMONY, and they did not love their lives to the death. Exodus 12:7,13 –

“And they shall take of the blood, and strike it on the two side posts and on the upper door post of the houses…And the blood shall be to you and for a token upon the houses where you are: and when I see the blood, I will pass over you, and the plague shall not be upon you to destroy you when I smite the land of Egypt.”

Confessions THERE IS POWER IN THE BLOOD OF JESUS TO SET EVERYTHING RIGHT, SATAN.

Blood was shed by the nails through the feet of Jesus. Jesus’ Pierced Feet Won Back Dominion Over The Places We Walk The fifth place where Jesus shed His blood was where they drove the spikes through His feet, nailing Him to the cross. The bloodshed from His feet also redeemed us from our loss of DOMINION AND AUTHORITY.

Ephesians 6:10 – “Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of His might.” The Greek word “Kratos,” relates to God’s manifested dominion and therefore our outer strength. Kratos speaks of DOMINION, power, and strength. Acts 19:20 – “So the word of the Lord was growing mightily and prevailing.”

The scripture tells us that in the days of the early church, “the word of the Lord grew mightily (Kratos) and prevailed.” When Adam disobeyed God in the Garden of Eden, he lost the spiritual dominion and authority given to him in Genesis 1:26, and at that moment, Satan became the god of this world. But through Jesus’ shed blood, we don’t have to be trampled by Satan. God said to Joshua “Every place on which the sole of your foot treads, I have given it to you,” (Joshua 1:3).

There is something about taking ground in the spirit–there is something about taking the land. How do we prophesy over others: We speak the Blood of Jesus over their lives We speak health over their lives We speak DESTINY over their lives We have been commanded to “Go into all the world and preach the good news to all creation” (Mark 16:15). Wherever we go, we’re to tell people “The kingdom of God is near. Repent and believe the good news!” (Mark 1:15).

This would be impossible unless we had the authority to take DOMINION over Satan’s earthly kingdom. DOMINION over this earth is ours again because of the shed blood of Jesus Christ, and wherever we are, the kingdom of heaven is at hand.

As believers, we have the authority to walk around our neighborhood and say, “I bind the devil in my neighborhood. I bind the drug addicts and the dope dealers.” We can walk through schools and say, “I bind violence, I bind perversion, and I bind New Age teaching.” Because every place where you set your foot will be yours (Deuteronomy 11:24) When we bind the devil, our next step is to lose the peace of Jesus in our streets — lose the righteousness of Jesus in our cities.

Matthew 18:18 – “Truly I say to you, whatever you shall bind on earth shall have been bound in heaven; and whatever you loose on earth shall have been loosed in heaven”. Questions to Ask Myself How am I creating an opportunity for God to act through my faith? What incredible acts of faith am I capable of? Affirmations I arise and walk in dominion power, and lay a hold of the promises of God. God is calling for me to arise and take a strong stand against the works of darkness.

I am to take the land. (Jude 1-4) I have a burning desire to disciple others into a higher knowledge of Christ (Matthew 29:19) Truly I am full of power by the Spirit of the Lord! Blood was shed when the spear pierced the side of Jesus. John 19.34 The sixth-place Jesus shed His blood was where a soldier shoved a spear into His side and blood and water poured out. Jesus died from a broken heart — from the weight of our sin.

It is a physical phenomenon that when a person’s heart bursts, the water, and blood of his body flow together. When Jesus announced His ministry in the synagogue, He read from the scroll: “The Spirit of the Lord is upon Me because He has anointed Me to preach the gospel to the poor;

He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives and recovery of sight to the blind, to set at liberty those who are oppressed.” (Luke 4:18) Jesus was anointed with the power to heal the brokenhearted because God desires for His people to live in joy.

When we are filled with joy, we have the strength to fight the good fight of faith. Nehemiah 8:10 – “The joy of the Lord is your strength.” His heart was broken so our hearts could be made whole. We overcome the wounds of broken hearts by the blood of the Lamb. Jesus became our sin so we wouldn’t have to sin.

He became our sickness so we wouldn’t have to be sick. He became our broken heart so we wouldn’t have to have a broken heart. Jesus came to restore our joy Psalm 138:8; 147:3 – “The Lord will accomplish what concerns me; Your loving kindness, O Lord, is everlasting; Do not forsake the works of Your hands. He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds.

Affirmation TODAY I ALLOW THE HEALING POWER OF THE BLOOD OF JESUS TO DELIVER ME FROM ALL PAIN, SORROW, AND GRIEF. I LET HIM FILL ME WITH THE JOY OF THE LORD AND LET THAT JOY BECOME MY STRENGTH, NOT JUST FOR TODAY, BUT FOR THE REST OF MY LIFE.

Prayer Heavenly Father, I want to consecrate myself to you all over again. I confess my sins to you now. I ask for the blood of Jesus to cleanse me from every sin.

God, I want more of the anointing, whatever the cost. Spirit of the Lord I want you to come mightily upon my life; stir my heart with a desire to walk in humility and compassion.

Please come upon me mightily like you came upon Jesus when He said that the Spirit of the Lord was upon Him to preach the gospel to the poor, to heal the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives and the oppressed, and to recover the sight of the blind.

I love Jesus and I want to be like Him. God, please anoint me! I want to fulfill the vision that you have given me to accomplish.

Blood was shed through the bruises that Jesus received. Isa 53.5 The seventh-place Jesus shed his blood was in His bruises; He was bruised for our iniquities. “Iniquity” means a spirit that tries to break us down.

It is a spiritual force on the inside that pressures us to bow or bend under its destructive nature. Exodus 34:6,7 – “The Lord passed before him, and proclaimed, “The Lord God, merciful and gracious, longsuffering, and abundant in goodness and truth, keeping mercy for thousands, forgiving iniquity and transgressions and sin.”

We can plead the blood of Jesus to wipe away our sin and to set us free from the iniquity that drives us to do the very thing we do not want to do. The key to receiving the blessing of God is not just getting saved, but getting changed — transferred from the old creature to the new! 2 Corinthians 5:15,17 –

“And He died for all, that those who live should live no longer for themselves, but for Him, who died for them and rose again.

Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.” Jesus shed His blood on the inside as well as on the outside.

He was bruised inside to change the person on the inside, to change the nature that causes them to hurt or suffering. Through His shed blood, we are not just free; we are free indeed! 2 Corinthians 5:21 – “For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.”

FIRST MYSTERY.

The first time our loving Saviour shed His Precious Blood for its was on the eighth day after His birth, when He was circumcised in order to accomplish the law of Moses. While, then, we reflect that Jesus did this to satisfy the justice of God for our dissolute lives, let us excite ourselves to true sorrow for them, and promise, with the help of his all-powerful grace, to be henceforth truly chaste in body and in soul.

How is it, then, we do not curb our anger and our self-love?  Henceforth we will indeed try our very best to bear our troubles well, and, despising ourselves, to take peacefully the injuries which men may do us.

Again, from the sacred Head of Jesus Blood poured down when it was crowned with thorns, in punishment of our pride and evil thoughts. Shall we, then, continue to nurture haughtiness, foster foul imaginations, and feed the wayward will in our minds?  Henceforth let there be ever before our eyes our utter nothingness, our misery, and our weakness; and with generous hearts let its resist all the wicked suggestions of the devil.

FIFTH MYSTERY.

But O! how much of His Precious Blood did our loving Lord pour forth from His veins when laden with the heavy wood of the cross.  He made His mournful way to Calvary, so that the streets and ways of Jerusalem, through which He passed, were watered with it! this was done in satisfaction for the scandals and the bad examples by which His own creatures had led others astray on the way to ruin.  Who can tell how many of us are of this unhappy number?  Who knows how many he himself alone has by his own bad example brought down to hell?  And have we done anything to remedy this evil? L et us henceforth at least endeavour all we can to save souls by word and by example, making ourselves a pattern to all of good and holy life.

SIXTH MYSTERY.

Still more copiously the Redeemer of mankind shed Blood in His barbarous Crucifixion; when His veins being rent and arteries burst, there gushed forth in a torrent, from His hands and His feet, that saving balm of life eternal, to pay for all the crimes and enormities of the universe. Who ever after this would continue in sin, and so renew the cruel crucifixion of the Son of God?  Let us weep bitterly for our bad deeds, and let us detest them at the feet of the sacred minister of God; let us amend our evil ways, and henceforth begin a truly Christian life, with the thought ever in our hearts of all the Blood which our eternal salvation cost the Saviour of men.

SEVENTH MYSTERY.

Last of all, after His death, when His sacred Side was opened by the lance and His loving Heart was wounded, Jesus shed Blood, and with the Blood there came forth water, to show us how the Blood was all poured out to the last drop for our salvation. O the infinite goodness of our Redeemer!  Who will not love Thee, my Saviour?  What heart will not consume itself away for love of Thee, who hast done all this for our redemption?  The tongue wants words to praise Thee: let us, then, invite all creatures upon earth, all angels and all saints in Paradise, and, most of all, our dear Mother Mary, to bless, to praise, and to celebrate Thy most Precious Blood.  Glory to the Blood of Jesus! Glory to the Blood of Jesus now and ever throughout all ages.  Amen.

At this last Mystery three Pater noster’s and one Gloria Patri are to be said, to make up the number of thirty-three.

V. Te ergo quaesumus, &c.

Then say the following
PRAYER.

Most Precious Blood of life eternal! price and ransom of the whole universe! drink and bath of the soul! ever pleading the cause of man before the throne of heavenly Mercy; I adore Thee most profoundly: I would, if I were able, make Thee some compensation for the outrages and wrongs Thou dost ever suffer from men, and especially from those who in their rashness dare to blaspheme Thee. Who will not bless this Blood of value infinite? who does not feel himself inflamed with the love of Jesus, who shed it all for us? What should I be but for this Blood, which hath redeemed me? And who drew it out of the veins of my Lord, even unto the last drop? It was love. O immense love, which gave to us this saving Balsam! O Balsam beyond all price, streaming forth from the Fount of immeasurable love! Give to all hearts, all tongues, power to praise, celebrate, and thank Thee, now and ever, and throughout all eternity. Amen.
V. Redemisti nos, Domine, in Sanguine tuo.

Oremus.
Omnipotens sempiterne Deus, qui Unigenitum Filium tuum mundi Redemptorem constituisti, ac ejus Sanguine placari voluisti: concede nobis, quaesumus, salutis nostrae pretium ita venerari, atque praesentis vitae malis ejus virtute defendi in terris, ut fructu perpetuo laetemur in coelis. V. Then hast redeemed us, O Lord, with Thy Blood.
R. And hast made us a kingdom to our God.
Let us pray.
Almighty and Everlasting God, who hast appointed Thine only-begotten Son the Saviour of the world, and hast willed to be appeased with His Blood; grant us, we beseech Thee, so to venerate this Blood, the price of our salvation, and so to be defended by its power upon earth from the evils of this present life, that in heaven we may enjoy its everlasting fruit. Who liveth and reigneth with Thee in the Unity of the Holy Ghost, world without end. Amen.

NOVENA TO THE PRECIOUS BLOOD (Say for 9 Days)
 By the Voice of your Blood, O Jesus, I would press you, solicit you, importune you. Though you seem to reject my supplications I will not leave your bleeding feet until you hear me. Too many graces, too many mercies flow from your Blood for me not to hope in its efficacy.
 Then, O Jesus, by the Precious Blood seven times shed for the welfare of all, by each drop of that sacred price of our redemption, by the tears of your immaculate mother,
 I implore you, hear my earnest prayer. (here specify your request)
 O Jesus, during all the days of your mortal life you consoled so many sufferers, healed so many infirmities, raised so often a sinking courage, you will not fail to have pity on one who cries to you from the depths of anguish. Oh! No, it is impossible.
Another profound sigh from my heart, and from the wound in your own there will flow to me upon a wave of your merciful Blood the grace so ardently desired. O Jesus, Jesus, hasten the moment when you will change my tears into joy, my sighs into thanksgiving. Holy Mary, source of the divine Blood, I implore you not to lose this occasion of glorifying the Blood which made you immaculate. Amen.

The only place of safety in this world is under the Precious Blood of Jesus Christ.

This chaplet is prayed on rosary beads.
On crucifix pray: “O Jesus, Divine Redeemer, be merciful to us and to the whole world. Amen.”

On the first 3 small beads pray:
“Strong God, Holy God, immortal God, have mercy on us and on the whole world. Amen.”

“Grace and mercy O my Jesus, during present dangers; cover us with Your Precious Blood. Amen.”

Third bead: “Eternal Father, grant us mercy through the Blood of Jesus Christ, Your only Son; grant us mercy, we beseech You. Amen.”

On all the large (Our Father) beads pray: “Eternal Father, I offer You the wounds of Our Lord Jesus Christ to heal the wounds of our souls.”

On all the small (Hail Mary) beads pray: “My Jesus, pardon and mercy through the merits of Your Holy Wounds.”

17 Promises of Our Lord for those who are Devoted to His Wounds

1. At each word that you pronounce of the Chaplet of the Holy Wounds, I allow a drop of My Blood to fall upon the soul of a sinner.
2. Each time that you offer to My Father the merits of My divine Wounds, you win an immense fortune.
3. Souls that will have contemplated and honored My crown of thorns on earth, will be My crown of glory in Heaven!
4. I will grant all that is asked of Me through the invocation of My Holy Wounds. You will obtain everything, because it is through the merit of My Blood, which is of infinite price. With My Wounds and My Divine Heart, everything can be obtained.
5. From My Wounds proceed fruits of sanctity. As gold purified in the crucible becomes more beautiful, so you must put your soul and those of your companions into My sacred Wounds; there they will become perfected as gold in the furnace. You can always purify yourself in My Wounds.
6. My Wounds will repair yours. My Wounds will cover all your faults. Those who honor them will have a true knowledge of Jesus Christ. In meditation on them, you will always find a new love. My wounds will cover all your sins.
7. Plunge your actions into My Wounds and they will be of value. All your actions, even the least, soaked in My Blood, will acquire by this alone an infinite merit and will please My Heart.
8. In offering My Wounds for the conversion of sinners, even though the sinners are not converted, you will have the same merit before God as if they were.
9. When you have some trouble, something to suffer, quickly place it in My Wounds, and the pain will be alleviated.
10. This aspiration must often be repeated near the sick: “My Jesus, pardon and mercy through the merits of Your Holy Wounds!” This prayer will solace soul and body.
11. A sinner who will say the following prayer will obtain conversion: “Eternal Father, I offer You the Wounds of our Lord Jesus Christ to heal those of our souls.”
12. There will be no death for the soul that expires in My Holy Wounds; they give true life.
13. This chaplet is a counterpoise to My justice; it restrains My vengeance.
14. Those who pray with humility and who meditate on My Passion, will one day participate in the glory of My divine Wounds.
15. The more you will have contemplated My painful Wounds on this earth, the higher will be your contemplation of them glorious in Heaven.
16. The soul who during life has honored the Wounds of our Lord Jesus Christ and has offered them to the Eternal Father for the Souls in Purgatory, will be accompanied at the moment of death by the Holy Virgin and the angels; and Our Lord on the Cross, all brillant in glory, will receive her and crown her.
17. The invocations of the Holy Wounds will obtain an incessant victory for the Church.
