Gilgeous-Alexander ended Saturday's 117-116 loss to Dallas in Game 6 of the Western Conference Semifinals with 36 points (14-25 FG, 4-5 3Pt, 4-7 FT), three rebounds, eight assists and two blocks across 43 minutes. Gilgeous-Alexander did everything he could to get the Thunder over the line Saturday, pouring in a game-high 36 points. While he ultimately fell short of his goal, enough can't be said about how good he was this season. The Thunder are just starting their journey, and with so many draft picks to work with, there is an opportunity for them to improve their roster sooner rather than later. Despite the disappointing playoff exit, Gilgeous-Alexander is poised to continue his ascension and will likely be in the MVP discussion again next season.

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander Latest News
Goes down swinging
Impressive outing not enough
Gilgeous-Alexander racked up 30 points (12-22 FG, 2-4 3Pt, 4-6 FT), six rebounds, eight assists, one block and two steals across 43 minutes during Wednesday's 104-92 loss to Dallas in Game 5 of the Western Conference Semifinals. Whether the Thunder struggle offensively or not, Gilgeous-Alexander will always get the job done. Unfortunately, he couldn't do everything on his own Wednesday, and he came up short of carrying OKC to a Game 5 victory despite filling out the stat sheet admirably. With the Thunder's back against the wall, Gilgeous-Alexander will need to be at his best on Saturday, as the Thunder will aim to avoid an early playoff exit on the road in Game 6. The star floor general is averaging 31.4 points, 9.0 rebounds and 7.2 assists per game in the current series against Dallas while riding a four-game streak of appearances with 30 or more points.
Shines in Game 4 victory
Gilgeous-Alexander totaled 34 points (14-27 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 6-6 FT), eight rebounds, five assists, two blocks and two steals in 42 minutes during Monday's 100-96 victory over the Mavericks in Game 4 of the Western Conference Semifinals. Despite dealing with one of the best backcourt combos in the NBA in Luka Doncic and Kyrie Irving, Gilgeous-Alexander continues to deliver outstanding numbers every time he steps on the hardwood. He surpassed the 30-point threshold in just one of the four games in the opening-round series against the Pelicans, but he's been asked to do more this time around, and he's now on a run of three straight outings with 30-plus points. He's averaging 31.8 points, 9.8 rebounds and 7.0 assists per game in the series against Dallas, with Game 5 scheduled for Wednesday at Paycom Center.
Delivers double-double in loss
Gilgeous-Alexander supplied 31 points (10-23 FG, 2-3 3Pt, 9-10 FT), 10 rebounds, six assists, five blocks and one steal across 42 minutes during Saturday's 105-101 loss to Dallas in Game 3 of the Western Conference Semifinals. Gilgeous-Alexander continued his run of stellar production in the Game 3 loss. The All-Star averaged a stunning 28.5 points, 7.5 rebounds and 6.2 assists over six playoff games heading into Saturday's contest, making him one of the league's most prolific postseason contributors. His most noticeable stat of the evening was a career-high five blocked shots. Prior to Saturday, the guard had recorded four swats three times in his pro career.
Sniffs triple-double in Game 2 loss
Gilgeous-Alexander had 33 points (13-24 FG, 1-3 3Pt, 6-6 FT), 12 rebounds, eight assists, two blocks and one steal across 41 minutes during Thursday's 119-110 loss to the Mavericks in Game 2 of the Western Conference Semifinals. Gilgeous-Alexander finished just two assists away from recording a triple-double, but his outstanding two-way play was not enough as the Thunder came up short in Game 2 of the series. The loss shouldn't take anything away from Gilgeous-Alexander's impact from a fantasy perspective. He's averaging 28.5 points, 7.5 rebounds and 6.2 assists per game across six playoff contests.
Flirts with triple-double Tuesday
Gilgeous-Alexander finished with 29 points (8-19 FG, 2-4 3Pt, 11-13 FT), nine rebounds, nine assists, two blocks and one steal over 37 minutes during Tuesday's 117-95 win over Dallas in Game 1 of the Western Conference Semifinals. Gilgeous-Alexander fell agonizingly short of his first career playoff triple-double, guiding the Thunder to an emphatic Game 1 victory. While this was a close contest for the first three quarters, Oklahoma City took over late, led by the MVP candidate. He will look to build on this performance when the two teams clash again Thursday.
Notches double-double in series finale
Gilgeous-Alexander totaled 24 points (8-21 FG, 1-4 3Pt, 7-13 FT), 10 rebounds, three assists and two blocks over 40 minutes during Monday's 97-89 win over the Pelicans in Game 4 of the first round of the Western Conference playoffs. Gilgeous-Alexander struggled with his shooting touch in this one, but he crashed the boards for a series-high 10 rebounds, marking his first double-double of the 2024 postseason. The Kentucky product appeared to tweak his ankle during Monday's matchup, but he was able to work through the issue on the Thunder bench and eventually returned to lead his team to a series-clinching victory. "Just tweaked it," said head coach Mark Daigneault on Gilgeous-Alexander's ankle injury. "Obviously good enough to go back into the game. He'll need treatment. These next couple days will really help him. Obviously didn't impact his availability in tonight's game, nor should it moving forward."
Goes for 33 points in Game 2 win
Gilgeous-Alexander had 33 points (13-19 FG, 3-5 3Pt, 4-4 FT), three rebounds, five assists and two steals across 35 minutes during Wednesday's 124-92 victory over the Pelicans in Game 2 of the Western Conference first round. The Thunder secured a statement win in Game 2 of the series, and Gilgeous-Alexander was dominant en route to his first 30-point effort since April 9, when he exploded for 40 points in a win over the Kings. Gilgeous-Alexander should lead the Thunder in Game 3 on Saturday, and he's having an excellent series so far, shooting 55.8 percent from the field and 37.5 percent from deep in the first two games against New Orleans.
Carries OKC to victory in Game 1
Gilgeous-Alexander closed with 28 points (11-24 FG, 0-3 3Pt, 6-7 FT), six rebounds and four assists across 39 minutes during Sunday's 94-92 victory over New Orleans in Game 1 of the Western Conference Quarterfinals. Gilgeous-Alexander looked a bit off at times and wasn't as dominant as he's been in previous games, but the star floor general came through when the team needed him the most. An off-balance shot in the dying stages of the fourth quarter would be the game-winner for a Thunder team that had to work harder than expected to get past New Orleans. Gilgeous-Alexander was massive during the regular season and was named a finalist for the MVP Award on Sunday, so he's expected to continue leading the way for the Thunder in this series. Game 2 is scheduled for Wednesday at Paycom Center.
