Cancar has reached an agreement to stay with the Nuggets for the 2024-25 season, Michael Scotto of HoopsHype reports. Cancar played with Slovenia during the FIBA Olympic Qualifiers, and he looked healthy after undergoing surgery in August to repair a torn ACL in his left knee, an injury that caused him to miss the entire 2023-24 campaign. In his last healthy season with the Nuggets in 2022-23, Cancar appeared in 60 regular-season games and averaged 5.0 points, 2.1 rebounds and 1.3 assists in 14.8 minutes. He should add depth to the Nuggets' frontcourt, though he probably won't be relevant in most fantasy formats.

Latest Nuggets News
Vlatko Cancar : Staying in Denver
Dario Saric : Lands in Denver
Saric agreed Saturday with the Nuggets on a two-year, $10.6 million deal, Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN reports. Saric appeared in 64 games (nine starts) with the Warriors in 2023-24 and averaged 8.0 points, 4.4 rebounds, 2.3 assists and 1.2 three-pointers in 17.2 minutes per contest, but he fell out of the rotation over the final month of the regular season. The 30-year-old should face less established competition for a reserve role in the Denver frontcourt and will likely enter training camp as the frontrunner to serve as the top backup at center to three-time MVP Nikola Jokic.
DeAndre Jordan : To re-sign with Denver
Jordan is expected to re-sign with the Nuggets on a one-year, $3.6 million deal, Chris Haynes of Turner Sports reports. Jordan will bring veteran leadership to the locker room in Denver while also providing some relief minutes for Nikola Jokic at center. During the 2023-24 season, Jordan made 36 appearances with averages of 3.9 points, 4.4 rebounds and 0.4 blocks.
Reggie Jackson : Picks up player option
Jackson picked up his $5.25 million player option Monday, ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski reports. Jackson is set to reprise his role as the primary backup point guard behind Jamal Murray for the upcoming season. Jackson was a reliable presence in the backcourt for Denver in 2023-24, posting averages of 10.2 points, 3.8 assists, 1.9 rebounds and 1.2 three-pointers across 82 appearances.
Kentavious Caldwell-Pope : Poor offensive showing Sunday
Caldwell-Pope racked up five points (2-7 FG, 1-4 3Pt), six rebounds, three assists, one block and two steals in 40 minutes during Sunday's 98-90 loss to the Timberwolves in Game 7 of the Western Conference Semifinals. Caldwell-Pope scored single digits for the sixth time in the past eight games, highlighting the Nuggets' struggles when it comes to depth on the offensive end. While he continues to play a key role for Denver, his lack of production cannot be ignored when it comes to fantasy value. Looking ahead to next season, there is no reason to think he will be anything more than a situational streamer, utilized for steals and threes.
Jamal Murray : Scores game-high 35 points
Murray provided 35 points (13-27 FG, 4-12 3Pt, 5-5 FT), three rebounds and three assists over 43 minutes during Sunday's 98-90 loss to Minnesota in Game 7 of the Western Conference Semifinals. Murray did everything he could to get the Nuggets over the line but ultimately came up short. He and Nikola Jokic scored 69 of the Nuggets' 90 points, highlighting just how unimpactful their bench was. While it was a disappointing end for Murray, his production this year aligned with what fantasy managers expected coming into the season. Given they will likely be contending again next season, there is no reason to think anything changes from a fantasy perspective in 2024-25.
Michael Porter : Goes cold in Game 7 loss
Porter posted seven points (3-12 FG, 1-6 3Pt), nine rebounds and two blocks across 34 minutes during Sunday's 98-90 loss to the Timberwolves in Game 7 of the Western Conference Semifinals. Porter went just 1-for-6 from the three-point line, continuing a rough series for the sharpshooter. Over the seven-game span, Porter scored fewer than 10 points on five occasions. It was an unfortunate end for Porter after he managed to put together a strong season. Despite the poor postseason performance, Porter should be able to maintain mid-round value in most fantasy formats next season.
Jamal Murray : Officially available Sunday
Murray (calf) will play in Sunday's Game 7 against the Timberwolves. Murray has been dealing with a left calf strain throughout the entire series, but he will shed another questionable tag and suit up Sunday. Murray has struggled to produce against Minnesota's stellar defense, but he will likely be called upon early and often in this win-or-go-home scenario.
