Antetokounmpo tallied 23 points (8-17 FG, 1-2 3Pt, 6-10 FT), eight rebounds, three assists, one steal and one block Sunday in the Greek national team's 80-69 win over Croatia in a FIBA World Olympic Qualifying Tournament game. With the win, Greece earned a spot in the 2024 Summer Games in Paris, giving Antetokounmpo the opportunity to represent his home country in the Olympics for the first time in his international career. The two-time NBA MVP will thus be in store for a busy offseason, after he had missed the final three games of the regular season as well as the entirety of the Bucks' playoff run due to a left soleus strain. Greece will make its first basketball appearance in the Olympics since 2008 on July 27, when the team takes on Canada.

Latest Bucks News
Giannis Antetokounmpo : Qualifies for Paris Olympics
Giannis Antetokounmpo : Scores 13 points against Slovenia
Antetokounmpo tallied 13 points (6-12 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 1-2 FT), four rebounds, two assists and one block across 21 minutes Saturday for the Greek national team Saturday in a 96-68 win over Slovenia in a FIBA World Olympic Qualifying Tournament game. Antetokounmpo turned in a solid outing in limited minutes as Greece cruised past Luka Doncic and Slovenia to advance to the finals in the Qualifying Tournament, with a win in the next round clinching Greece a spot in the Paris Games. After missing the final three games of the regular season as well as the entire first round of the Bucks' playoff series loss to the Pacers due to a left soleus strain, Antetokounmpo looks to be back to full health while representing his home country this summer.
Tyler Smith : Signs on with Milwaukee
Smith signed a four-year, $7.9 million contract with the Bucks on Friday, Michael Scotto of USA Today reports. According to Scotto, only the first two seasons of the deal are guaranteed, while the third year is non-guaranteed and the fourth year is a team option. The No. 33 overall pick in the 2024 NBA Draft, the 19-year-old Smith was one of the few bright spots of G League Ignite squad that went 2-32 during the 2023-24 season. The 6-foot-9 forward appeared in 43 total games between the regular season and G League Showcase Cup, shooting 47.4 percent from the field and 36 percent from three-point range while averaging 13.7 points, 5.1 rebounds, 1.3 assists, 1.3 triples, 1.0 blocks and 0.8 steals in only 22.2 minutes per contest. Smith will likely be on the outside looking in for a spot in the Milwaukee rotation heading into training camp, but on a Bucks team that's lacking in quality frontcourt depth, it wouldn't be surprising if he plays meaningful minutes at some point during his rookie season.
Giannis Antetokounmpo : Sitting out against Egypt
Antetokounmpo is out for Thursday's FIBA World Olympic Qualifying Tournament game against Egypt due to rest purposes, Harris Stavrou of Sport24 reports. Despite continuing to deal with a calf injury, Antetokounmpo's absence Thursday is attributed to rest. The superstar forward should be available for the remainder of the Olympic Qualifying Tournament.
Taurean Prince : Plans to join Milwaukee
Prince intends to sign a contract with the Bucks, Shams Charania of The Athletic reports. Prince spent last season with the Lakers and averaged 8.9 points and 2.9 rebounds in 27.0 minutes per game over 78 regular-season appearances. While he began the 2023-24 campaign as a starter, he moved to the bench to close out the season. However, he could compete with Pat Connaughton for a starting role during the 2024-25 campaign. Regardless of whether Prince can secure a starting role, he should be able to carve out consistent minutes in Milwaukee.
Stanley Umude : Agrees to deal with Milwaukee
Umude (ankle) and the Bucks agreed to a two-way contract Monday, Eric Nehm of The Athletic reports. The Pistons declined Umude's team option on June 29, so the Bucks acted quickly to scoop up the guard. Umude is unlikely to be in the Bucks' regular rotation, but he could be a long-term project for the franchise to develop. Umude missed the end of the 2023-24 campaign due to a hairline fracture in his right ankle, but he's presumably healthy after passing a physical to make his deal official.
Delon Wright : Will join Milwaukee
Wright and the Bucks agreed to a one-year, $3.3 million contract Monday, ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski reports. With this move, the Bucks have secured one of the top backup point guards on the open market. Wright will provide some relief minutes behind Damian Lillard, but the former is also capable of playing shooting guard as well. Wright's playmaking and defensive ability will boost Milwaukee's backcourt.
Giannis Antetokounmpo : Will be limited Thursday
Antetokounmpo (calf) practiced Wednesday and will be used on a minute restriction during Greece's Acropolis Tournament game against the Bahamas on Thursday, Harris Stavrou of SPORT24 reports. Antetokounmpo sat out Greece's opener of the exhibition tournament but will suit up Thursday and get some game action before the Olympic Qualifying Tournament, which begins July 2. The NBA superstar hasn't played since suffering a left soleus strain during a regular-season game against the Celtics on April 9.
