Durant is dealing with a minor calf strain and has yet to participate in Team USA's training camp, Shams Charania of The Athletic reported Sunday. The U.S. Olympic team began practicing Saturday with Durant watching from the sidelines as he tends to a minor calf strain. The 35-year-old's absence is considered precautionary, but the issue is still worth monitoring with the Olympic Games just a few weeks away.

Latest Suns News
Kevin Durant : Dealing with minor calf injury
Durant is dealing with a minor calf strain and has yet to participate in Team USA's training camp, Shams Charania of The Athletic reported Sunday. The U.S. Olympic team began practicing Saturday with Durant watching from the sidelines as he tends to a minor calf strain. The 35-year-old's absence is considered precautionary, but the issue is still worth monitoring with the Olympic Games just a few weeks away.
Damion Lee : Staying in Phoenix
Lee (knee) and the Suns agreed to a one-year deal Wednesday, Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN reports. After missing the entire 2023-24 campaign while recovering from meniscus surgery, Lee will get another chance to prove his worth with the Suns. Back in 2022-23, Lee was a key rotation player for the Suns, averaging 8.2 points, 3.0 rebounds, 1.5 three-pointers and 1.4 assists in 20.4 minutes over 74 appearances. Lee is expected to be fully healthy ahead of training camp.
Monte Morris : Intends to sign with Suns
Morris and the Suns agreed to a one-year, veteran minimum deal worth $2.8 million Tuesday, Gerald Bourguet of GoPHNX.com reports. The Suns need cheap backups behind their expensive core of Kevin Durant, Devin Booker and Bradley Beal, and Morris is known around the league as a fairly reliable option at the backup guard spot. The 29-year-old spent the end of last year in Minnesota after being traded by the Pistons on Feb. 7. He averaged 5.1 points, 2.3 assists, 1.7 rebounds and 0.7 steals in 27 regular-season games for the Timberwolves.
Collin Gillespie : Joins Suns on two-way deal
Gillespie signed a two-way deal with the Suns on Monday, Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN reports. Gillespie missed his entire rookie season with Denver while recovering from surgery to repair a fractured right leg. He returned to action last year, making 24 appearances before being shut down with a left knee sprain. Gillespie is presumably healthy after passing a physical to make this deal official, but he's certainly not guaranteed a rotational role with Phoenix in 2024-25.
Mason Plumlee : Heading to Phoenix
Plumlee agreed to a one-year deal with the Suns on Sunday, Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN reports. Plumlee has bounced around the league throughout most of his career, and he'll be on the move again after agreeing to a short-term deal with Phoenix. He made 46 regular-season appearances (11 starts) with the Clippers last year and averaged 5.3 points and 5.1 rebounds in 14.7 minutes per game. He'll attempt to bounce back with his new team but will likely have to settle for a depth role once again.
Bol Bol : To return to Suns
Bol will return to the Suns on a one-year deal, ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski reports. Bol found his stride with the Suns last season after numerous stops around the league. Bol made 43 appearances in 2023-24, averaging 5.2 points, 3.2 rebounds and 0.5 three-pointers in 10.9 minutes.
Royce O'Neale : Sticking around in Phoenix
O'Neale is expected to sign a four-year, $44 million deal to return to the Suns when free agency officially opens July 6, Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN reports. The Suns acquired O'Neale on Feb. 8, and he averaged 8.1 points, 5.2 rebounds, 2.7 assists and 0.9 steals across 25.0 minutes in 30 regular-season games for the team. The 31-year-old also shot an efficient 37.6 percent from deep in that span. Even with Phoenix fizzling out in the playoffs with a first-round exit and the team having since replaced Frank Vogel as head coach with Mike Budenholzer, O'Neale is still viewed as a core rotational piece for the club heading into 2024-25.
Josh Okogie : Declining option, may re-sign
Okogie plans to decline his $2.95 million player option and enter unrestricted free agency, Michael Scotto of USA Today reported Friday, but the forward could re-sign with Phoenix for more than the veteran minimum, Gerald Bourguet of GoPHNX.com reports. Evan Sidery of Forbes Sports reported Okogie planned to exercise his option and remain with the Suns, but Bourguet relays the Suns want to re-sign Okogie to a slightly larger deal. However, Phoenix's top priority this offseason is retaining Royce O'Neale. Okogie had a reduced role for Phoenix during the 2023-24 campaign, averaging 4.6 points, 2.6 rebounds and 1.1 assists in 16.0 minutes across 60 regular-season appearances. The 25-year-old finished the season without a spot in former coach Frank Vogel's rotation, but Okogie could re-establish himself under new coach Mike Budenholzer if he does re-sign with Phoenix.
