Tucker blew by the Raiders' defensive backs during spring practices, according to ESPN's Paul Gutierrez. Granted, it's not unusual for small, fast receivers to excel in early offseason practices without tackling. The Raiders seem optimistic it will carry over in this case, with coach Antonio Pierce saying Tucker is a "different dude" who plays like "the biggest guy out there" despite being 5-foot-9, 185 pounds. Tucker opened last season as the team's fourth/fifth WR after being a third-round pick, eventually working his way up to the No. 3 role and then catching 11 of 15 targets for 170 yards and two touchdowns over the final four weeks. He now seems to holding off Michael Gallup for that No. 3 role, but it probably won't come with too many snaps or targets in an offense that has Davante Adams and Jakobi Meyers at wide receiver and Brock Bowers and Michael Mayer at tight end.

Latest Raiders News
Tre Tucker : Excels during OTAs and minicamp
Thayer Munford : Participating in OTAs
Munford (knee) has been taking part in offseason practices, Mike Moraitis of The Sporting News reports. Munford missed the Raiders' final game last season due to a knee injury but now appears to be back to full health. He's slated to start at right tackle for Las Vegas in the coming campaign.
Maxx Crosby : Earns raise
The Raiders reworked Crosby's contract to give him an additional $6 million in 2023 and $1.2 million in 2024, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports. The reworked contract does not come with any additional years to Crosby's current contract. With Malcolm Koonce already in the mix and the signing of Christain Wilkins this offseason, the Raiders should have among the best defensive lines in the league in 2024.
Cole Fotheringham : Active for OTAs
Fotheringham (hamstring) has been active for the Raiders' OTA sessions. Fotheringham suffered a hamstring injury in the team's Week 17 matchup with the Colts before signing a reserve/future contract with the Raiders in January. He now looks to be a full go ahead of the 2024 campaign after he appeared in two contests with Las Vegas last season, reeling in his only target for six yards while playing 21 offensive snaps. The 26-year-old will attempt to carve out a reserve role for himself behind Michael Mayer and Brock Bowers at tight end this year.
Alex Bachman : Signs with Vegas
The Raiders signed Bachman on Wednesday. Bachman hasn't appeared in a regular-season game since playing in three contests for the Giants in 2021. The wideout turns 29 next week and has become more of a camp body in the NFL.
Aidan O'Connell : Early leader in competition
Coach Antonio Pierce said O'Connell will take the first snap over Gardner Minshew in the Raiders' upcoming quarterback competition, Paul Gutierrez of ESPN reports. Pierce praised O'Connell's work so far this offseason, mentioning how he's "changing his body, his work ethic, being here every day, blocking out the outside noise." He did also talk up Minshew and make it clear that Las Vegas considers the starting role up for grabs, saying a quarterback competition is good for motivation across the roster. O'Connell led the Raiders to a 5-5 record as a rookie last season, and this offseason, he'll work to take a step forward and build increased chemistry with Davante Adams, Jakobi Meyers and rookie tight end Brock Bowers.
Dalton Wagner : Returns to practice field
Wagner participated in Las Vegas' offseason program Wednesday. Wagner signed with the Raiders as an undrafted free agent in 2023 but went down with a season-ending injury late in training camp. The issue wasn't disclosed, but he's back at full strength heading into 2024.
Kana'i Mauga : Back in action
Mauga (knee) participated in the Raiders' offseason program Wednesday. Mauga played in five games in 2023, contributing primarily on special teams. His campaign came to a close prematurely due to a knee injury, but it appears as if he's made a full recovery heading into 2024.
