ARTA TechFin Corporation Limited’s Co-CEO Eddie FW Lau was invited to speak with Carolyn Wright in Money Talk on RTHK Radio 3 on our hypothetical e-HKD use case results and our collaboration with Chainlink Labs at the HK Fintech Week 2023. Central bank digital currency is a game changer to allow users to manage and instruct money directly using smart contracts. It also improves user experience and make transaction more efficient with atomic settlement, safe custody of funding and transparency. “In our pilot use case, our standard of redemption settlement is 30 minutes to an hour,” Eddie Lau said. This compares to a close to one week redemption cycle in the current traditional finance (TradFi) world. To respond to client requests, Arta TechFin is also working on regulated, cross-chain interoperability fund tokens using Chainlink’s Proof of Reserve & Cross-Chain Interoperability Protocol. It will preserve Web3 investment experience including staying on the subscribers’ native chains with proof of reserve.
