In June we proudly launched the latest edition of our research series ‘My Healthcare, My Future’ – looking to add value to the healthcare landscape across Ireland by putting people and patients at the heart of the conversation. Focusing on #GenZ and young adults, the 2024 ‘My Healthcare, My Future: Next Gen Health’ report uncovers growing pessimism around our healthcare system, as well as stark gaps in the expectations and perceptions of health and the healthcare system amongst different generations. 💡Only 9% of people believe that the standard of healthcare in Ireland meets their expectations. 💡 54% of people say that they cannot currently afford the costs of their health and the health of their loved ones. 💡 79% believe that medicines in Ireland are more expensive than in other EU countries. At MSD Ireland, we always look to make a difference – for people, for patients and for our wider community. We want to help start a conversation that integrates all voices in the discussion towards the future of health in Ireland. 🏆 A massive congratulations to our very own Marie Martin, who was awarded the Outstanding Contribution Award 2024 at the Life Science Industry Awards last week.   Marie has worked with MSD since 2008 in a number of positions across Ireland and Europe. She held the position of Site Lead at our site in Carlow from 2019-2023 before moving on to her current role within MSD as Global Technical Lead Vaccines & Large Molecules.   These Awards celebrate the most innovative individuals and companies driving excellence in Ireland's life sciences sector while recognising the innovation, dedication, and outstanding achievements shaping the future of the life sciences industry.   Well done Marie from all your colleagues across MSD.
