Established in 1983, Madatech is housed in historic landmark buildings, located in the heart of a 7 acres green campus in mid-town Haifa. Designed at the turn of the 20th century, by renowned German Jewish architect, Alexander Baerwald, it was originally home to the Technion – Israel’s Institute of Technology, the country's first academic institution.

Madatech sparks the curiosity and inspires inventive genius in 400,000 guests, who visit over 20 exhibits featuring more than 600 hands-on exhibits, and watch 7 Cinematrix multi-sense 3-D movies. 362 days a year visitors can look and feel, explore and enjoy an unforgettable experience.

Founded in 1963 by the Recanati family in memory of Yehuda Leon Recanati, the Yahel Foundation continues a tradition of giving stretching back to the beginning of the 20th century.

Today's Yahel Foundation still reflects the core values of the Recanati family, whose history of giving started with a commitment to the community of Salonika, Greece - long before their arrival in Palestine in the 1930's.

Under the guidance of Leon Recanati, Chairman of GlenRock, the Yahel Foundation, managed by Mrs. Gaby Levin, aims to narrow social gaps by driving social processes and supporting non-profit organizations that advance welfare, health, education, and culture. Show less

Beth Avot Leon Recanati home for the aged is mostly populated by Ladino speaking elderly of Balkan and Turkish descent, some of which are Holocaust survivors. The Beth Avot Leon Recanati has 163 rooms situated in 7 buildings and houses approximately 200 residents, while also operating a nursing department for the disabled. The elderly population takes part in unique classes in their respective day centers. In addition, volunteers help the elderly in household repairs… Show more
