For sites with a non-block theme, you can use this guide to customize the Related Post feature.
When using modern block themes, please refer to the Related Posts block support page.
You can change the appearance of Related Posts in the Customizer; head to Appearance → Customize → Related Posts, and then you will see different options to check:
- Show a headline: this helps to separate the related posts from the post content.
- Enter text to use as headline: you can leave the default “Related” or change it.
- Show thumbnails: when checked, it shows a thumbnail image where available.
- Show date: when checked, it displays the date the entry was published.
- Show context: when checked, it displays the entry’s category or tag.
- Layout: you can arrange the entries in a grid or a list.
