Goodreads Widget

Feature some of the books from your Goodreads shelves in a widget area on your website.

Add the Jetpack Goodreads Jetpack Widget

The Jetpack Goodreads Widget will only work with classic non-block based themes. If you are using a block-based theme, we recommend the Goodreads Block instead.

  1. To use this widget, you must have a Goodreads account.
  2. Next, make sure you’ve activated Jetpack’s Extra Sidebar Widgets feature.
  3. To add the widget, go to Appearance → Customize  → Widgets and search “Goodreads”.
  4. Click the Goodreads (Jetpack) icon to add the widget to your chosen widget area.
  5. Add a title for the widget, or leave it blank to display no title.
  6. In another tab, navigate to your Goodreads profile page. You can get there by clicking on your avatar in the top right on goodreads.com.
  7. Copy only your numeric Goodreads user ID from the address bar in your browser. It will look something like this: 167052449
  8. Paste your Goodreads ID into the Goodreads numeric user ID field in the widget configuration area.
  9. From the dropdown in the widget configuration area, select which of your shelves you’d like to display:
  • Read
  • Currently Reading
  • To Read
