DeMille lived with his family at the home, located in a private community, for about 40 years until his death in 1959. The estate is currently owned by a couple, but the place has been rented out for parties for some time; one Curbed insider who has walked the grounds describes it as "classic Old Hollywood." According to the Los Feliz Improvement Association, it was built in 1914 and DeMille purchased the home for $27,893. Pennies! We're told the last sale was ten years ago.
