    Deadpool & Wolverine

    a faux-Roger Rabbit that simply reeks of desperation (it only works so many times when you drop 00s pop over a fight scene), but some gags made me laugh when they don't overreach. every now and then Ryan Reynolds lands on a good line reading.

    I imagine Teen Titans Go! To The Movies probably had a better angle on corporate synergy and adhering to comic book movie tropes, so maybe I should watch that.

    Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga

    Really cool to see an “Action Designer” credit in this (which I believe The Fall Guy has too, but I haven’t seen it yet).

    There’s a little more time between action sequences, a nice differentiation from the relentless forward momentum of Fury Road, but when they happen it’s still so exhilarating seeing every creative new way they find to escalate but also how they keep a deliberate rhythm - there’s a moment with paragliders early on that is genuinely breathtaking not just because it’s utterly insane but because of that flawless timing. 

    Nice to see Hemsworth getting to be an Australian
