Can confirm there is generative AI used in this, seems like a cutting corners post-production thing as it is only used in “we’ll be right back” transitional stills that appear maybe 3 or 4 times (the main logo might be too though?). Pretty disappointing that we are already seeing this happen, especially because the film is fun and stylistically neat otherwise. I don’t really get the huge reaction to it, but the approach to 70s late show nostalgia and satanic panic is a unique one that will certainly make its way onto many people’s Halloween lists. Mostly tame, kind of feels like a spooky TV special which is the point, but when it does get into the scarier stuff the practical work is great. Love David Dastmalchian so so much. But why are Ed and Lorraine Warren catching strays?!😭
