About the Host

Erica Brozovsky, Ph.D., is a sociolinguist and a lover of language variation. As a native of Massachusetts, but a longtime Texas transplant, “wicked” and “y’all” happily coexist in her idiolect. Erica received her Ph.D. from the University of Texas at Austin where she studied language and identity. She currently teaches courses there on Asian American Literature and Culture and English Language and Its Social Context.
